If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.

Hello my name is Danger. I am an 8 week old female Feist/Lab mix. I am from a litter of 6 and one of only 2 girls. They keep calling me the runt (whatever that means????)
As of April 6th I weighed 5.66 pounds and have a clean bill of health from the vet.
I am up to date on my puppy shots and have been microchipped. I have been with my foster family since I was 3 days old. My mama was with us, as well. Therefore, I have met all of my developmental milestones and had no complications. I dont really know how big Im going to get. My mom is Dafalily and shes about 40 pounds, but no one has ever met my dad and we are not sure of his breed. I may be small, but I was the very first pup to open my eyes. I just couldnt wait to see all of the exciting things I had to explore!! I am very playful and can entertain myself with toys. I do still enjoy being held and cuddled though!!! I am only 8 weeks old and just received my shots which gave me the protection I needed to explore the outside world. This means that Im not housebroken yet. I am working on paper training and doing pretty well!!! I am good with other dogs and children, but havent met any cats yet. I hope to meet you soon!!

This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. The new family will be required to have the pup altered by 6 months of age and complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. The pup's adoption fee is $300. Please note ARF does not approve applications for any animal that has not been altered to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.
